Private image conversion, explained
How conversion works
Secure HEIC is operated by Mockup Maestro. When you select a photo, the browser reads it into local memory, decodes it with browser and WebAssembly tools, and creates the download on your device. The conversion workflow does not upload the image to our server.
What leaves your device
Normal website requests still reach our hosting provider so it can deliver the page and protect the service. Optional analytics or advertising may be enabled only when configured by the operator and are described in our privacy policy. Photo contents and filenames are not intentionally sent by the converter.
Accuracy and limitations
We test common HEIC, HEIF, JPG, PNG, and WebP workflows, but damaged files and uncommon encoding features may fail. Keep original photos until you have reviewed each converted result. This service is not a backup system.
How we write conversion guidance
Format recommendations are organized around the receiving workflow: broad compatibility, lossless editing, web delivery, or multi-page documents. We distinguish a visible image conversion from metadata preservation, optical character recognition, cloud backup, and archival storage because those are separate tasks.
Each workflow page includes limitations and a test-first checklist. When software or device behavior varies, the guidance recommends checking a representative file in the actual destination instead of promising universal compatibility.
